So I'm on lockdown for New Year's Eve. The place that I live in is pretty violent and it's doubly worse during the Fourth of July and New Year's Eve, and I'd rather not risk it. Last year, my family and I stayed up until midnight, drunk some apple cider and then went to bed. We are fascinating, fascinating people. Any of you guys have better plans then I do?

Also, can I just declare my love for The Office? My brother had tried to get me to watch the show for about two years but I stupidly resisted. It's really funny and offbeat and most of the characters are so hilariously unlikable. I love it.

I just watched Alice. Oh my God.

I'll be back when my thoughts are more coherent. My God, it was so good.

I just rewatched the 2009 Star Trek movie with my dad and it just makes me so happy. I watched the movie twice in the theatre, one time with my family and the other with my friends, and I loved it so much.

My dad raised me as a Trekkie, basically. Instead of plopping me in front of Blue's Clues or Sesame Street like a normal parent, he'd put me in front of Star Trek: Voyager. When I was in first grade, I dressed up as Seven of Nine, along with the whole facial features.

I am was a pretty geeky kid.

Which is going to be a super easy day because most of my classes are going to spent up watching videos.
